My 7 minutes of yoga
“It’s going to be a miserable day.” The phrase that pushed me to do more for myself.
This was one of the things that helped me take back my own time and my own life. I committed to 7 minutes of yoga every morning. I slept with my door closed so she could turn on lights and make noise in the early morning and I could have my own sleep schedule. She would make comments about the potential day and how I slept late. Late to her was 7am. I was tired of being berated for waking up at all, so I did the below yoga routine in 7 minutes (30 seconds per pose or movement), pulled tarot cards, and wrote on my scrap paper pile. This was how I made my entire day just a little bit better. Over time I added poses and it because 20-30 minutes. I started this in 2018 and I still do these same movements as my base.

Make it stand out
I used InsightTimer from the beginning when it was only a timer. Now it has some great meditations and teachers on the app. I made a preset for 30 seconds in mine for each pose. I still do 30 seconds for each pose and hold longer if I want to stay in it a bit more.
