Why audiobooks?

I worked at the first and original Curaleaf cannabis grow facility in Simsbury, CT. I worked in flower packaging, lab processing & packaging, edibles packaging, making the macro tablets (CT-specific), and cultivation. All the jobs were a form of manufacturing so I started listening to audiobooks instead of what my coworkers were having for lunch.

There’s a flow of where my imagination and curiosity were taking me. Clinical and spiritual books went together and one was necessary to balance out the other. I was desperate to understand the people in my life and why they were acting the way they were. I was more curious about myself. There had to be a better way to go through what I was experiencing as a caregiver and as a human. I had to be ok right where I was and not wish my life away to get to the end of Frannie.

I started with podcasts which I made a separate section for. I moved to books when all the podcasts were recommending books.

Most people are familiar with Audible, but don’t forget about your local library. Get a library card and the app your library uses and you can borrow digital books, audiobooks, music, and movies. It’s free because that’s what the library is for. I use Hoopla and Libby for my library streaming.

Most music streaming has book borrows now too.
